While in Buffalo, NY for Phi Kappa Psi's Woodrow Wilson Leadership School, I had a free evening and attempted to make my way from the
SUNY Buffalo campus to Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo. Unfortunately, there was a lot of rain in the forecast. I decided to try it anyway. I drove downtown, parked and walked up to the ballpark. The rain was coming down so I grabbed the only umbrella I had in my truck which unfortunately was a Chicago
Blackhawks umbrella, which was probably not the best idea, being two blocks from
HSBC Arena, the home of the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL.
After milling
around the park for a while, they finally called the game and postponed it until Thursday. Here are a few pictures of the park exterior and even one of staff with rain gear on. Before you ask, yes Buffalo is that dreary and not a shocking place for my first
rain out.
